1981
A downloadable game for Windows
In the future (1981) some aliens will come down to Earth to conquer our planet. Their plan is evil, and it is about bribing the dumb humans, to become their slaves. They do this by given the humans evil things like TV's, refrigerators and vacuum-cleaners.
This is a pretty simple strategi game where you have to build cannons and robots to kill the aliens. And you can also build houses to make more money. Be aware that when the evil aliens gives their gifts, they like the aliens more, and you less. This makes so you earn less money per day.
You can also upgrade the cannons and robots, so they get better weapons. You start with a small cannon, then it going to become a rocket launcher, and finally a lazier.
Controls
The game is played with the mouse. You can restart a level with the R key, and you quit the game with the escape key.
Good luck and have fun
This game was made for the Epic Mega Jam 2023 - the theme was 'Antiquated Future'.

I liked the quirky atmosphere, with the voice and setup! Great stuff!
never seen black and white atmosphere in tower defence games, liked the idea
Fun little game jam game! I noticed that the target lock seems to go after the first enemy on the screen even if the turret is aimed at a different enemy. I gave the game a few tries, but this made the strategy element feel off as it didn't matter where I placed turrets at higher levels.
Overall great game!
You are right about this bug, and sadly I first found it after the jam ended. I have fixed it, and few other small bugs. If you are interested I have upload a new version, on my Game Jolt page, and you can find it here https://gamejolt.com/games/1981/843055 . The game is mostly the same, but I have fixed some of the games bugs.
I love tower defense games, good concept maybe the weapons can be more "antiquated" like throwing spoons or forks. Looks good in black white and maybe put a filter on the camera like an old Tv with static.
It is future weapons seen from a 1950's perspective. And there is already a bit static noise on the camera, more noise did not look very good.
